With over three decades of hands-on experience in the landscape construction industry, Andy Bessey is the founder and owner of Desert Horticulture. An Arizona native, he was raised in Tucson and attended the University of Arizona. Andy grew up surrounded by the art and science of desert landscaping, providing the foundation for his lifelong dedication to creating outdoor spaces that thrive in the Southwest.

Since establishing Desert Horticulture in 1996, Andy has led hundreds of residential and commercial landscape projects across Southern Arizona, from intimate backyard retreats to large-scale public installations. His work can be seen in some of Tucson’s most beloved spaces, including multiple gardens at the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

Known for his collaborative approach and attention to detail, Andy combines technical expertise with creative vision to bring every client’s landscape to life. Under his leadership, Desert Horticulture has earned a reputation for integrity, quality craftsmanship, and timeless design.
